Creating solutions to eliminate poverty

FIPS-AC is a Microfinance institution focused on development of Mexico's marginalized communities in both rural and urban environments, through innovative financial, commercial and organizational methods.

Our poverty-reduction objectives are as follows:

  • We create jobs and assist established small businesses by providing financial services, training and market search.
  • We seek to increase productivity and income within Mexico's most vulnerable groups. We have been particularly successful among women, and women make up the majority of our clientele.
  • We seek to help families reduce their vulnerability by helping them diversify their income-producing ventures.

We focus on creation of community banks and solidarity groups and keep lean, but well prepared staff. Long-term strategic alliances, in order to provide added market knowledge and financial assistance, belong to our targets in 2007.

The old saying: "bankers are only willing to lend money only to people who do not need it" doesn't apply to us, but indirectly is the cause for our existence.

We lend those who are in need of capital and can prove to repay.
